2021 included a number of notable trademark and copyright decisions from the various Courts of Appeal as well as the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. On the legislative front, the United States Patent and Trademark Office implemented the Trademark Modernization Act. 2021 also saw the creation of a Copyright Claims Board in connection with the Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Act.
